How it works

How Dosis decides

Dosis is a guide, not a shop. We help you work out which supplements make sense for you, in what form and at what dose, and what the evidence says about each one. The decision is yours.

01

The quiz

Each answer adds reasons to specific actives. An active only makes it into your result if it gathers enough reasons.

  1. 01About you3 questions
  2. 02Women’s wellbeing5 questions, only if they apply
  3. 03Your daily life5 questions
  4. 04How you feel8 questions
  5. 05Your goals3 questions

There are 24 questions at most and you only see the ones that apply to you. It takes about three minutes.

Your goals (up to three) set priorities within what already makes sense for you; they do not add actives without a reason. For each active we show you why it appears: the specific answers that triggered it.

02

Three levels

  • 3Base

The essentials: the actives with the most reasons in your answers.

  • 4Core

Your full protocol with the four priority actives.

  • 5Advanced

The four priority actives plus one from the advanced layer: a specific botanical or an active with emerging evidence.

We preselect a level based on your experience with supplements, and you can change it. If your profile does not need that many actives, we show you fewer. No more, no less.

03

Rules that are never broken

  • Never more than two actives that do the same thing, so your result is not filled with repeated options.
  • Never two forms of magnesium at once.
  • If you already take a supplement, we do not suggest it again: we tell you whether it fits your profile.
  • No disease triggers a supplement. We ask about signs of wellbeing and about goals, never about diagnoses.
04

How we classify the evidence

  • Strong9 activesConsistent trials and reviews in people, or health claims authorised in the EU.
  • Promising17 activesTrials in people that point the same way, but still few, small or funded by the manufacturer.
  • Experimental10 activesEarly data in people or, mostly, from the laboratory. It only appears at the advanced level, and we say so.

We start from the health claims authorised in the EU (Regulation 432/2012), EFSA opinions and studies published in scientific journals. When an active has open safety questions or its EU authorisation is not confirmed, we say so on its profile and in the caution on your result. These actives only appear at the Advanced level.

05

Safety

Stops

Under-18s, pregnancy and breastfeeding: the quiz stops.

In those cases advice should not come from a questionnaire. We refer you to your healthcare professional.

If you are trying to conceive, only actives with a known safety profile at that stage are included.

We do not ask about your medication. Instead, each active shows its caution clearly (interactions, conditions in which it is not advisable, how to space it from other medicines) and you can remove it from your result with one button. The next one on your list takes its place. If you take medication or have a medical condition, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start.

06

Your data

The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to any server, we do not ask you to sign up and we do not use cookies. While the tab is open, your result is kept in the browser itself so you can open a profile and come back; when you close the tab, it is gone. More detail in the privacy policy.

07

How we are funded

Dosis does not sell anything or charge any brand. Each profile says what to look for on the label and recommends products that meet it, from online shops and from the brands themselves (HSN, Life Extension Europe, Thorne, iHerb, Vegavero, WeightWorld, Naturitas and spermidineLIFE); if they only partly meet it, we explain why. Today we earn no commission on them; if one day we do, each link will say so. The links do not change which actives the quiz suggests: products are chosen afterwards, by composition. More detail.

08

Who is behind it

Dosis is a project of Dosis Daily S.L., a company based in A Coruña, Spain. It grew out of a frustration we share with many people: we want to look after ourselves, the information exists but it is buried under marketing, and nobody should need a PhD to know what to take. We tell the whole story in About Dosis.

We review each profile against European law and the published literature, and the review date appears on each one. Changes are logged in the changelog. Last full review: 3 November 2026.

General information based on published scientific evidence and EU law. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, and are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.

Do not exceed the daily dose stated on each product. If you take medication, have a medical condition or have any doubts, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Try it.
